Hint of 90's
We are currently still in winter mode, but it was only a week ago that spring came by to give us a quick hello and therefore giving me the perfect chance to shoot outside WITHOUT A COAT. Weird concept after knowing what it is outside right now. Nevertheless, this shoot was extra special because its the last shoot I'll be doing where Ava is behind the lens (for a while). She has been my photographer for this blog since the start and it has been so f*cking fun having a best friend be my creative partner. It's not the end of an era, but a little hiatus so to speak. Oh god, whenever I hear the word hiatus I get a flashback to 1D breaking up so let's find a different word... Pause? Interlude? Enough of the vocab lesson, let's get on with the details.
So a couple things first, I have been obsessed with wearing turtlenecks/mocknecks under any and all sweaters during these cold months. And second, the ugly dad sneaker trend has been an essential piece to most of my outfits throughout the week. Don't forget the tall white socks that you can easily borrow from your old man's closet. The sweater with colorful, severely colorful, pockets is from Zara and the mustard and white striped turtleneck underneath is from J. Crew. It's like I'm repping my ancestor's flag colors in this shoot, shoutout to Ukraine. So instead of copping the Balenciaga Triple S a.k.a thee ultimate ugly dad sneaker, I had to treat myself to a realistic matter and cop the Nike Air Huarache City sneaker. It's a fine replacement. And can serve the purpose of an ankle brace.
