Houston Humidity
Ah yes, part 2 of the H-Town series is here! Please appreciate the fine alliteration in the title. I’m really proud of it actually. As you soon will tell, the humidity did its job very well during my time visiting. I am Monica on Friends when her hair is a frizzy mess and she’s yelling, “It’s the humidity!!!” But now it’s October and I don’t have anything to blame my messy hair on rather than my low maintenance attitude towards hair care. Once again, me and Ava went awf! We did this shoot after thrifting at Buffalo Exchange. Which I will proudly state that the Houston location is soooo good. I snagged a silk Rag & Bone cropped blouse, dope silk (we love silk on this blog) wide leg pants, and the bag + sunnies from this shoot.
About the bag… I swear the early 2000’s coming back into fashion is actually lovely. I mostly just love being reminded that I had similar bags when I was 7 years old. I would also like to mention that the 80’s style teaming up with the 00’s is pretty great to see too. It’s a very bold time in fashion right now. Back to the bag story though, there were two I was debating on getting at Buffalo Exchange. It was between a beaded shoulder bag or a clear, translucent purse. I’ve seen them both around before, a.k.a on other style blogger’s Instagram’s. Unsurprisingly, the beaded bag won. Sad news though, it started to fall apart after some serious dancing at Lollapalooza. At least it, and I, were having fun. Onto the cat eye tortoise sunglasses... nothing really to say, it’s a pure essential. The green floral dress was originally purchased for a vacation last fall, but I had thoughts of styling it with my favorite f*cking shoes. The iconic Nike City Huarache trainers that I actually never take off my feet! Ohp, and I borrowed my brother’s Polo Ralph Lauren socks, ya know, to add a special touch. Okie... photo time.
